Differences

  1. We are very much alike, but very different as well. You were a very famous pianist, I a dancer. You had many teachers but I only had a few. You didn't mention this I don't think but it seems you had to work pretty hard to get where you werre correct? I mean I worked hard as well but I had a lot of natural talent. But other than that we really don't have many differences.

  2. Well while it is true I had to work verry hard to get where I was in life I aslo was blessed by god with natural talent. THe kind of hard work I faced was more emotional. It was always easy to write music but the criticism that came along with it was hard to take. Also it was verry hard to travel and progress in my art with my family haveing such a hard time with the revolution back home. They often sent me letter begging for my support and I was often tempted to go back but their letters also warned of the dangers of returning. There were many times I wanted to stop and just be a normal working human but that is not how god intended it.

  3. I'm sure it was a mistake since you were using this new keyboard just invented but I must warn you that I'm afraid you spelled "were" wrong.

  4. We might have a few things in common, but we definately are very different. You had the abilty to grow with your family, and live in a normal house hold. Me on the other hand, I grew up as a captured slave and had a master. We both also moved around a lot, but i onced moved off land for five long years. I think the circumstances that we have been through is what sets us so far apart as artist!

  7. I never learned to play a musical instrument although I wish I had. I must say though that your comment about finding other artists works boring intrigues me. Also it seems that you and your mentors got along quite well. I have heard that you were not affected by the state of our economy back in the day and i must say that I am relieved that you did not have to go through that.
