Similarities

  1. You seem to be a wonderful pianist sir. It seems that we have a few things in common. For instance I was also young when I started dancing, just as you were. Plus, we both have a huge love for our art. You definitely are in great favor of your music as I am for my dancing. It's a lovely feeling isn't it? Anyway, I saw that you mentioned that piano music in your time was meant to be sort of simple, not too complicated. Well that's exactly how it was in the dance world. And i hated it. I thought dance should be free and expressive, not hiden like how they portrayed it to be. So just as you, I changed it and did it how I wanted to.

  2. Good for you! I hated when people told me that my music was to different and that no one would care for it. If only theese called video cameras were invented in our time to I could see your style of dancing. It's amazing how someone can tell you that your art is wrong, what is the point of any art if it is going to be surpressed? I am so glad you decided to go on with your unique style of dancing. Just as I hoped to change the world of piano you changed your world of dance. How wonderful.

  3. It seems to me we have a few things in commom! Although when I began to play I played other artists music, I soon grew out of that. I very soon realized that I wanted to compose my own music. So I did compose my own music! Another thing I think we may have in common is the fact that we move a lot! To me it seems that you were on the move a lot. Which I also went through. Well it's nice to know that i was not the artist that that constantly had to move around! You have an intresting story! I enjoyed reading about you!

  4. Thank you very much Joseph. I indeed did move quite often but that was unavoidable because of the state Europe was in at the time. Moving from place to tplace is always hard on an artist because you get much of your inspiration from where you are stationed. I was also glad to hear you decided to composed your own music. How wonderful! I love to compose, I don't know how anyone could only play the music others have created, how they could not but their own imput on the music they love.

  5. We both seem to have spent much time in the presence of royalty. And my parents also expected me to be artistically creative. Also it seems that we did not exactly agree with our mentors about every point. Similarly we were both inspired from a young age.
